1. Scope

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).

2. Data we collect

We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or collect Aadhaar.

3. Doctor profile data

Doctor profiles are built from public NMC / State Medical Council registry data and are displayed with the source and the date checked. If information is wrong, report it via the report-an-error link on any profile or by writing tocomplaints@doctorrating.in.

4. Anonymity

Reviews are anonymous by default. A doctor never sees any engagement-proof documents you submit, and complaint details are never published.

5. Health information

We minimise medical detail. Our system prompts you to redact sensitive information, and any health information is used only for the stated purpose.

6. Storage and retention

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Reviews are retained while published. Complaint records are retained for 24 months after closure. Early-access sign-up data is retained for 12 months.

7. Sharing

We share data only with service providers we need to operate the platform (under contract), or when required by law. We never share your data with the reviewed or complained-about doctor, except for content you have chosen to publish.

8. Your rights (DPDP Act)

You have the right to access, correct, and erase your data, to withdraw consent, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. To exercise any right, contact us first; you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

This service is not directed at children. Reviews may only be written by persons aged 18 or over.

10. Changes

Any changes to this policy are posted here with a revised date.
