Community & Review Guidelines
Last updated: [DD Month 2026]
doctorrating.in only works if reviews are honest and fair. These guidelines apply to everyone who posts a review, rating, or response. Breaking them can lead to content being removed and accounts being suspended.
1. Write only about care you actually received
Review only a doctor or facility you personally visited, on the date you state. Do not post on behalf of someone else, and do not review a doctor you have never seen.
2. Rate the service, not the diagnosis
Rate the seven service parameters — communication, wait time, diagnosis clarity, fee transparency, alternatives discussed, follow-up access, and premises & hygiene. Do not rate clinical correctness or medical outcomes; patients cannot fairly judge these, and it is not safe to try.
3. Be truthful and factual
Describe what actually happened, in your own words. Do not exaggerate, invent, or post allegations you cannot support. Opinions are welcome; false statements of fact are not.
4. Protect privacy — yours and others’
Do not include personal data (phone numbers, addresses, ID numbers), detailed medical history, or the names of other patients or staff. Reviews are anonymous to the public by default.
5. Keep it civil
No abuse, threats, hate speech, discrimination, obscenity, or personal attacks. Criticism of a service is fine; attacking a person is not.
6. No fake, paid, or conflicted reviews
Do not post reviews you were paid or asked to write, reviews about your own practice, a competitor, a family member’s practice, or reviews intended to manipulate ratings. Coordinated or repeated fake reviews will be removed and may be reported.
7. Nothing illegal or infringing
Do not post content that is defamatory, infringes copyright, breaches confidentiality, or is otherwise unlawful. You keep responsibility for what you post; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it.
8. For doctors responding
Responses must be professional and must not reveal a patient’s identity or medical details. Procuring fake reviews or harassing reviewers will result in the response facility being withdrawn and the conduct being reported to the relevant council.
9. How we enforce this
Reviews are screened automatically before publication and may be held for human moderation. See ourContent Moderation & Takedown Policy for how content is reviewed, how doctors can respond, and how to report a problem. To report content, contact theGrievance Officer.
